Marlee Becoming Glinda
Tigger, Glinda and Snakey
Glinda, the Flying Monkey & Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West)
We had a wonderful Halloween! We haunted the church for "Trunk or Treat," then hit our favorite neighborhood . . . WOW, the kids scored some serious candy! They love to dump it all out and sort it. Ahhhh, brings back fond memories. At one of the houses the guy said "Oh, I haven't bought any candy yet, here, have a dollar instead." The kids thought that was pretty cool!
HaPpY HaLLoWeEeen!
SUPER SCARY SNAKE BOY
TY "Fitzgerald" & DANIEL "Snakey"
Annual School HaLLoWeEn Parade Erin and Daniel had fun marching around the playground showing off their costumes and checking out everyone else's! We saw a slice of pizza, a hot dog, and even a whoopie cushion costume! How's that for original?
I'VE BEEN SINGING THE TIGGER SONG ALL MORNING! The wonderful thing about Tiggers is Tiggers are wonderful things, their tops are made outa rubber, their tails are made outa springs! They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy, full of fun, fun, fun! The wonderful thing about Tiggers is . . . . I'm the only one! (Sing it!) I'M THE ONLY ONE!
Aren't Ariel and Tigger soooo cute?
Mom made me hold my tail so it wouldn't get dirty.

HAPPY TO BE IN CDS BAND
ASU Band Day - A Huge Success for Corona! Congratulations to the Marching Band for their Superior with Distinction rating and for receiving Caption awards in all five categories including Outstanding Music Performance, Outstanding Visual Performance, Outstanding Percussion, Outstanding Color Guard, and Outstanding Drum Majors!
Miranda Wow, what a night! We were at ASU until 11:30 last night watching some pretty amazing bands. I can't really express the feeling of pride we had when they announced the final award to our Corona Band. They were the only band to receive a "Superior with Distinction" Award and then to receive the other five awards on top of that! We are glad that Miranda is a part of this awesome tradition of excellence!
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS MY FRIEND . . . Everybody join in singing! ha ha Miranda is right there in the middle. She loves being in the band!
GREEN CHEESER - Panthers vs. Chargers
Panther's Cheerleaders From left to right: Tatum, Erin and Marlee. We lost this game to the Chargers. But, it's not about who wins or loses at this age. It's about being a good sport! Right dads??

Playing Hide-n-Seek on the Playground And yes, I am a little out of control with my digital camera lately :)
Erin got to school a little early, so she had almost the whole playground to herself! No waiting in line for this girl!

Erin's Kindergarten Fieldtrip to the . . .
Each kid got to take a turn holding the hose and hitting a spinning target on a little house. It was soooo fun! Afterwards, the fireman sprayed the water high up in the air and all the kids got wet!
"Single file now . . . hey, no cutting!"
Mrs. Fernandez's Class
Erin and her best school friend, Kaiessa.
All dressed up! The kids watched a fun video and learned how to "Stop, Drop and Roll," have a family emergency plan, and other safety tips from "Seymore the Smoke Alarm." Get it, Seymore . . .See more smoke alarms! I guess you should have one in every room. There were tons of antique firetrucks and other old fire equipment.
The kids had a blast climbing all over this old fire truck and trying on Fireman hats and coats.
ALL ABOARD!
Back in the olden days they used to fill buckets and pass them down an assembly line to get water to the burning house.

Here we all are, cheering for Miranda Tiffany, Cannon, Steph and their kids joined us last night for Corona's Homecoming game. They won! The band marched postgame, so we stuck around. The kids had a blast collecting pompoms and noisemakers that were left behind. We figured we'd get a picture of the crowd this time since we have TONS of band pictures (hard to tell which one is Miranda anyways). The band did wonderfully though. They have added some new things and have really jazzed up the routine! Just click on any picture for a larger version.

Well, Miranda made it home from Fall Band Camp safe and sound. They spent Wednesday and Thursday at Camp Tontozona in Payson learning and rehearsing the final phase of their performance. Then on Friday they headed to NAU in Flagstaff for a "Bands of America" marching competition. SEE THE PICTURES BELOW. Corona originally placed 6th out of the 25 bands there. Then the top ten bands performed again. Corona placed 9th out of the top ten. A couple of people from our ward were there and said they thought they should've placed 4th or 5th at least. Oh well. they were up against some pretty big bands from California, Colorado and AZ. Miranda will be back at it tomarrow for early-morning rehearsal at 5:30 a.m. They will be waaay better by the time they go to Riverside, CA in November.

Where's Miranda? Can you see her? Yep, there she is at the front of the line (bottom right-hand corner).
