Brad celebrated his 44th birthday on Friday. We went to Charleston's and had dinner with his parents. The food was awesome and everyone had a great time! Thanks to everyone for calls, cards and making this a special day for Brad!!

I just realized that I had neglected the blog all summer and missed a lot of fun pictures, so here is yet another collage! Gotta love it! The girls went up the mountain with the Crocketts on the weekend that Breaking Dawn came out. Here they are being "bitten" by Breaking Dawn and some lovely crawdads!
Here ya go, the entire summer in one little post! Girls camp, pool being built, swimming, 4th of July in ShowLow, Mentos and Coke experiment, fireworks, Marlee's b-day swimming party, Miranda's (new then) haircut, and kids going back to school. I know, old news, but making these collages is addicting!

We found the piano music for "The River Flows in You" (the first song on our playlist), as well as "Bella's Lullaby" (the second song on our playlist) from the movie Twilight! Miranda and I have been learning both of them and it has been so much fun!

I'm not big on journaling, as you already know. . . but I just wanted to let you all know what a great Christmas we had! It was the "Myers year" this year so we stayed here in the valley and had a schedule full of Myers family meals, one or two at each of our homes (with all 17 grandchildren), dinner out a couple of times (with and without kids), nativity production, talent show, we adults visited a child crisis center and spent time making crafts and reading with some children who were without their families for the holidays (that was very humbling), spent time shopping the after-Christmas bargains, New Year's Day football, and last but not least the kids had a "cousins sleepover" at the Myers home. It was non-stop action, but all in all it was a very nice Christmas. Thanks to everyone for the gifts, cards, goodies, and for thinking of us.
Our Gingerbread House
Mmmmm! The kids always want to eat these things and us moms always want them for decoration (at least until the end of the season). We didn't win this year, the little house was ransacked long before Christmas. Luckily we took some pictures first!
Our "Terrific Kid!"
Erin was nominated by her teacher to receive one of two awards presented by the Kiwanis Club. She got lots of goodies, a "Terrific Kid" shirt, pencil, free meals at several restaurants and a free movie rental at Bashas. We are so proud of her that every chance we get we remind her that she is a "Terrific Kid!"
Big Eight-Year-Old Girl!
E - Excellent. Erin is an excellent daughter. She is a very sweet girl who loves being the baby of our family (it has it's perks)!
R - Righteous. Erin got scriptures for her birthday and loves to read them at bedtime. She always remembers to say her prayers even if she has to climb back out of bed to do it.
I - Intelligent. Erin is a great student, does her best in school and her teachers always love her.
N - Nice. Erin is a good friend to all her siblings, classmates and even all the animals!

Our all-time favorite movie!!! We've had more fun going to see it over and over again since reading the books!
Here we all are seeing Twilight for the first time! It was a blast waiting in line and hanging with all the other Twilight fans.
