Click here to see ASU Band Day - Basha Bear Regiment
Celebrating an amazing season at the Basha High Band Banquet. The marching band won first place and top honors at every single competition they went to this year, ASU Band Day, Arizona State Marching Festival, and last but not least the WBA Western States Grand Championships in Santa Barbara, California (a first for an Arizona school)! Way to wrap it all up Marlee! The blood, sweat, and tears paid off! If you didn't get a chance to see the show in person, you can watch it on YouTube (Just click on the link above titled "ASU Band Day - Basha Bear Regiment").

Erin turns 11 the day after Thanksgiving! We had a great time hanging with the Myers cousins and going to Rawhide. YeeHaw!
The picture at the top is of the original "fake" cousins! We hang out more with Brad's fake cousins than his real ones it seems! They came all the way from Utah for Thanksgiving! We became pretty close, as they kind of adopted us and took care of us while we lived in Utah between 2000 and 2005. Grandma Joanna became "Grandma" to our kids too. She remembers birthdays and everything! Sure love the Atkinsons!

Halloween 2011 was spent having dinner and then Trick-or-Treating with our good friends and neighbors, the Burgesses. We were joined by the mad scientist, the corpse bride, secret agent 007, and Hermione Granger.

~BHS Senior Homecoming~ These gorgeous, amazing girls went to Homecoming together as a group date because none of them had dates! What is this stinkin' world coming to? I was very disappointed in all the teenaged boys at that high school, but what can I do except train Daniel to ask girls on dates!! In the end, I think they had more fun without the boys anyway! (Oh, the one boy pictured did have a date. Go Nathan! She is the one with black hair and dark gray dress in the back . . can't really see her)

Kayaking on Fools Hollow Lake! Miranda and Erin (in the green kayak) and Miya and Marlee (in the white kayak). We sure had fun in ShowLow while mom and dad were gone. We were primarily there to dog and cat-sit, but while we were there we saw HP7 at midnight, did a little shopping at the hometown WalMart at 2 AM, got a warning for going 48 in a 35 in Pinetop . . sheesh, did a little kayaking, played some ping pong out in the yard, played a little MarioKart, watched movies, rode bikes, went for walks, Miya cooked for us, Grandpa Johnson bought pizza. What more can you ask for? It was ShowLowificent!
All the excitement at our house . . . Marlee's 17th birthday, the cat's favorite hiding place, and the worst dust storm in years! July has been an eventful month!
